How Kits Are Made

The mushroom kit journey starts with lab-based genetic groundwork, using agar plates to ensure cleanliness and stability. Next, we transfer stable variations to a liquid culture made of sterilized water and honey. Once colonized, we inoculate sterilized grains in filter-equipped bags. These grains are further expanded to inoculate more grain bags, before moving on to the final stage: substrate blocks, composed of a hydrated mixture of 50% soy hull and 50% hardwood. These blocks are inoculated with colonized grains, sealed, and incubated until they're ready for sale as kits or for fruiting at our facility.
